Spotlight of the Week!

I have decided to have a spotlight of the week! What I do to determine the spotlight star, is just draw a name out a hat. This week’s spotlight is Lauren! Here are some super questions and answers from Lauren:

Lauren is great! She gets hyper at night, and that can be good and bad! She is a smart, gorgeous girl. I learned a few things that I didn’t know before from interviewing her. This was fun!

Unexpected Victory!!

Lauren, our little seven year old, went down to her Aunt Anita's house in Baton Rouge. While she was there she ran a mile long race. We found out this morning that she won the race in 7 minutes and 30 seconds! We are so proud of her because not only was she beating kids around her age, but grown ladies. HOORAY!

Marianne turned 9 on February 6th. We love Marianne so much! Since it was Marianne's birthday here are some things she likes to do:

• ride horses
• read
• play board games 
• play with her sisters
• jump on the trampoline
• ride her scooter
• get cozy by the fire in the winter
• invite her friends over

Lauren's 7th birthday was January 25. She has grown up so fast! Since it is Lauren's birthday here are some things she like to do:

• have friends over
• play soccer (her daddy is her coach)
• draw
• play with her sisters
• play and dress-up Kit her American Girl Doll
• ride her bike
• swim at her Grandma Coenen's house
• play house
• hold and take care of little kids
  

We are all going to celebrate in  Dallas, Texas for not only her birthday, but for Marianne's and Emily's. They are taking Kit, Elizabeth, and Ruthie to the American Girl Store.We cannot wait!

What a Wonderful Christmas!

Our family was so blessed this Christmas. We all enjoyed Kirsten, Steve, Baby Ben, Grandma, Grandpa, and Rebekah staying with us. We played a ton of games, and got to get to know each other better. We had a really warm Christmas this year, and I bet our visitors were not used to it at all!
